Anya and I visited France, Spain, and Italy following my graduation from the University of Michigan in 1998.  We were there from June 15 until July 14, which also roughly corresponded to the schedule of the World Cup of Soccer.  France won that year, partly because they had the home court advantage, but I think mostly because they had a great team of players.

Our tour began with Anya in Detroit and myself in Hartford, CT as I was on an internship at Pratt & Whitney.  We met up in New York City for our Air France flight.  I had a few hours to kill before we met so I was also able to see a bit of NY during the weekday.
